Coal to Methane

Energyquest's technology is ideally suited to economically and profitably produce methane from coal.

• Phase One of our strategic plan is to build our gas purification module which synthesizes methane from the gases produced in the gasification units.
• Once phase one is completed, designs will be finalized.
• Our business models indicate that by gasifying coal and paying for coal at current world prices, we can deliver methane to the natural gas pipeline at a cost competitive to natural gas. Current natural gas prices are in the $6.20 to $6.40 million BTU range.
• Payback (after tax) is approximately 2.5 to 3.0 years.
