Wood Waste

• Revenue from selling electricity generated via the converting of all forms of wood and wood waste
• Built in Customers
• Economically viable reduction of wood waste at pulp mills as required by environmental regulations
• Dedicated power for pulp mills

The Forestry industry has, in recent years, come under renewed environmental vigilance from both governments and the communities that host various sectors of the industry. While wanting to maintain the economic and employment base provided by the industry, the communities and other stakeholders in the industry recognize the need to respect the environment that provides their livelihood. Many mills are running out of room to store sawdust and wood wastes. Reliable and uninterruptible electricity supplies are also a concern for large mills, especially pulp and paper mills. Since mills also produce wood waste most of them can generate electricity with wood waste. Syngas can process larger quantities of wood and wood waste that provide the clean up required by regulations and at the same time generate power and heat that the plants can use.
